Azbil Kimmon Group Environmental Policy

The Azbil Kimmon Group contributes to the realization of a sustainable society by providing products and services that contribute to the global environment and by making the most effective use of all management resources, based on the Azbil Group's corporate philosophy: "We contribute to the global environment while providing people with a sense of security, comfort and achievement through 'people-centered automation'. Based on this philosophy, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by providing products and services that contribute to the global environment and by making the best and most effective use of all management resources.
The Azbil Kimmon Group is developing integrated activities ranging from research and development, sales, manufacturing, maintenance, and installation of gas meters and gas-related equipment, water meters and water-related equipment, metering and measurement systems, and environment-related equipment. Recognizing that these business activities and products are deeply related to environmental impacts, we promote our business activities in cooperation with our business partners and with the participation of all employees, based on the following action guidelines.

Action Guidelines

1.Provide products and services that contribute to environmental preservation and global environment, and cooperate with surrounding communities

We will cooperate with our surrounding communities to conserve and improve the local environment and provide products and services that contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

2.Fulfillment of Compliance Obligations

We will not only comply with laws and regulations, but also fulfill our compliance obligations as stipulated by our company.

3.Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and prevention of global warming

We will contribute to the prevention of global warming by reducing greenhouse gases through solving environmental issues of our customers with our products and services.

[Reduction of Environmental Impact in Business Activities]
Since our activities involve the consumption of fuel and electricity, we will strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent global warming through the use of renewable energy in addition to energy conservation activities from a life cycle perspective.

4.Effective Use of Resources

We consider all resources required for manufacturing as blessings from the global environment, and we promote effective use of raw materials, introduction of reused and recycled products, use of recycled materials, and reduction of waste in order to conserve resources.

5.Harmonious coexistence with nature

We are fully aware that air, water, and soil pollution can lead to the destruction of the global (natural) environment, and we strive to prevent and mitigate pollution. We will also cooperate in activities to protect biodiversity and ecosystems.

6.Development of recycling technologies

We will develop recycling technologies for the purpose of recycling and reuse, and strive to develop and provide products that can be disposed of safely.

7.Continuous improvement of environmental management system

We will strive for continuous improvement by conducting internal environmental audits and reviews of our environmental management system on a regular basis.

Environmental Management Promotion System

Azbil Kimmon Group Environmental Management Promotion System

The Azbil Kimmon Group has established the Azbil Kimmon Group Environmental Management Promotion Committee to promote the Group's environmental management.
In addition, Azbil Kimmon has established the Azbil Kimmon Environmental Management Committee to ensure the effective functioning of the ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system (EMS) and to share the status of initiatives across the organization, which is the activity unit of the PDCA cycle.
In addition, for production sites with large environmental burdens, energy-saving efforts are being made with an awareness of the PDCA cycle through the activities of the Energy Conservation Project.
